Title: Sarah Companion: More Hospital Time Summary: Holding Scully's hand tightly, Sarah was disturbed. Hospitals were not happy places. If her Daddy was in the hospital, it was not good. Mulder, Scully, and AD Skinner are not mine, and really, don't want them - I just came to play with them for a little while. Sarah belongs to Carol Gritton, and Eleanore. You can have them all back now. I am also sure that Mr White and Mr Tolkien will not object to having free advertising of their works here... The first piece of X-Files fanfic I have managed to get on to paper (virtual paper that it is), and the first piece of fanfic I have ever managed to get to a finished state. Scully walked down the hospital corridor with Sarah in tow. Holding Scully's hand tightly, Sarah was disturbed. Hospitals were not happy places. If her Daddy was in the hospital, it was not good. Taking seats in the waiting room, Scully took in her surroundings. It looked familiar, even though she had not had the displeasure of waiting in this particular location before. She knew Sarah felt a case of de ja vu too. All waiting rooms are the same, she decided. Even if not in decor, the atmosphere of despair made them all blend to one. Scully had told Sarah that Mulder was in hospital when she picked her up from school. "He had an accident, and the doctors are trying to fix him up now," she told her. Scully had expected Sarah to start crying at the news, but she managed to keep it all inside until they entered the waiting room. Sarah had expected to be able to see her father as soon as they arrived at the hospital. She became much more insecure when she realised Dana was sitting down to wait. "I want to see Daddy now, Dana," Sarah announced quietly to Scully a moment later. "The doctors are fixing him up now. We can't go in to see him till they are done" was the reply. "How much longer then?" "I don't really know Sarah, I'm sorry. I want to know how long it will take too." Scully's admission of discomfort at the situation helped Sarah a little. It was nice to know she wasn't the only one upset. "I remember having to wait when Mummy had an operation once. She had to have her appen - appen - something out." "Appendix?" Scully finished for her. "Yeah." But Sarah was no longer thinking about that trip to the hospital. "I also had to wait when Mummy was sick. She went to get her medicine, and I couldn't go with her." A pause. "Then once, after Daddy came, she said that she didn't want any more medicine, so Daddy took her home. Mummy only went to the hospital one more time after that - and she never came home again." Sarah's voice was distant, remembering that sad time in her short life. Fortunately it was already distant enough to her be able to think about the details without getting too upset. Her next thought did upset her though. "Dana, Daddy will come home won't he?" The question was asked very softly, almost afraid to voice her thoughts. "I hope so Sarah, I really do" came the answer. Dana couldn't lie to Sarah. It was not what Sarah had wanted to hear. The implication that Daddy may not come home was not lost on Sarah. Silent tears began to roll down Sarah's face, she lay down her head on Dana's lap, and curled up into a tight ball. Scully ran her fingers through the child's hair hoping to comfort her. "I'm scared." Sarah finally spoke as her tears slowed. "Me too, Sarah." Scully was more than willing to share that truth with Sarah. That was how the surgeon found them when he arrived in the waiting room. Dana didn't move. Sarah sat up. "I take it you are waiting for news on Fox Mulder?" At the two nods he received he continued. "He had a collapsed lung, which was why he was in surgery. His spine is bruised at a lower lumbar, as well as large numbers of cuts and bruises in the chest and facial areas. Several of the cuts required stitching." He stopped as the child interrupted. "Dana, I don't understand him. Explain it so I can understand, please?" Sarah pleaded softly. The doctor smiled his permission, so Scully explained. "A collapsed lung means that Mulder had trouble breathing properly and to fix it they had to do an operation. When we see him, he will have lots of machines helping him to breathe easier. That bit will get better in a few days. The bruised spine part means that until the bruise gets better, he will have trouble walking, or even feeling his legs. But it will get better." She looked at the surgeon for confirmation. He nodded his concurrence. "I am obviously talking to someone with some experience here." Scully nodded, stood, and shook his hand. "Dana Scully, MD." "What about the last things?" Sarah asked after she had quickly digested what Dana had told her. "The cuts and bruises? That means that he's going to look like a purple splotchy monster when we first see him. But it looks much worse than it really is." The monster sentence was delivered in a jovial tone, presenting what was more than likely the truth, in a not so serious manner. "When can we see him?" Sarah asked the doctor, plucking up courage when she had decided none of the damage Dana had described to her sounded too permanent. "Soon, I think. He is in a special place only doctors can go now, but in half an hour we will move him to where you can see him for a short time" the doctor answered them both. Sarah sat in her chair, not moving as the doctor continued his conversation with Scully. "Only immediate family is allowed in to the ICU. I understood you work with Mr Mulder." "If you want to check it out, I am listed as Fox Mulder's emergency contact. Sarah is his daughter, and in the current situation I am her legal guardian. I think we qualify." Scully's eyebrows were raised in question, daring the surgeon to disagree. He didn't. "How long till the spinal swelling is likely to go down?" Scully knew the stats on collapsed lungs, but each spinal injury was different. "Not too long I think. No more than ten days for it to be gone, but even at that length of time, recovering full use will not be instant." Scully was relieved with that information. Mulder would need some rehab after he recovered from the surgery, but nothing to drastic. He wouldn't have to learn to walk again. "I have to get back. Someone will come and get you when you can both see Mr. Mulder," the surgeon added as he walked off. Once the doctor was gone, Scully turned to Sarah and smiled. "He is going to be OK Sarah" she reminded the child. Mulder's serious eyes stared back at her, wanting to believe, but afraid of letting her hopes up too high. She was reassuring herself as well as Sarah. Mulder would be out of action for a short time, then back with a vengance. Loosing Mulder was not something Scully wanted to consider. Not when she was just starting to admit to herself that she didn't think of Mulder in a purely platonic fashion. And not with Sarah, the new focus of his life, to consider to boot. "I want to see him Dana." "I know you do, honey. So do I. How about we go get something to eat while we wait?" Scully suggested. "No, I don't want to leave in case the doctor comes back," Sarah replied. Scully left it at that and sat down with Sarah on her lap, her head buried in her shoulder. Not ten minutes later, Skinner walked into the room. Seeing a young girl curled up in Dana's lap was not quite how he pictured her waiting for news on Mulder. It made a sad scene to any strangers who passed and saw them, but to Skinner it conjured up a homey scene. Not something to be associated with Dana Scully, or Fox Mulder for that matter. "Scully must have been saddled with a niece for the day," Skinner rationalised to himself. Not being able to see Sarah's face allowed Skinner to think down that path. Despite Mulder's protests, Sarah had inherited more than a passing resemblance to her father. Not associating the girl to the situation, he filed any questions on the matter away for later. Scully made motions to stand when she saw her boss enter the room. "Don't stand Agent Scully, you seem to have your lap full. Have you had news on Agent Mulder's condition?" Scully brought Skinner up to speed on Mulder's catalogue of injuries. "Do you know what happened, Scully? First I heard was that an FBI agent was found down in the wharf area." "Near as I can figure, he was either the victim of a gang territory war, or a mugging. He went down to the wharf to check if a cargo ship had arrived, and check its manifest." Skinner frowned. The poor guy couldn't even go about ordinary business without getting himself into trouble. "How long have you been sitting here? Care to join me for some lousy hospital coffee? Or a juice, young lady?" Skinner addressed the quiet child now seated, but leaning on Scully. "We don't want to leave in case the doctor comes back. We should be allowed in soon." Skinner nodded."OK, I can bring go get something if you want. What can I bring you two?" he offered. He understood Scully's need to see Mulder. After so many years together, partners were often frantic when confronted with the other in hospital. Still, Skinner wondered, again, why Scully was so calm this time, and how come the girl... sheesh haven't even asked her name yet...was so quiet, well behaved, and subdued. "What is her connection here?" he considered the question again. "What would you like Sarah?" Scully asked. "One question answered," thought Skinner. "Orange juice please. Can I have something to eat too, Dana?" "Sure. 2 OJ's and a couple of donuts of some kind if you don't mind. The coffee is just too lousy around here, from memory." Reaching to give the AD some money, he shook his head and walked of toward the cafeteria. Visiting permission was given while the AD was gone. As he returned, he saw Agent Scully walking down the corridor to the ICU carrying Sarah. He jogged after them to catch up. When they reached Mulder's room, Dana stopped and put Sarah down. After a quick peek through the door to check for anything unexpected to warn Sarah about, she bobbed down to Sarah's height and reminded her of what she was going to see. "Remember, he has the machines to help him breathe." Sarah nodded. "And the cuts are going to make him look really sick, but they aren't that bad, OK?" Sarah nodded again. "And I remember I am not allowed to touch anything too," Sarah added in the best grown-up voice she could muster. She was afraid of what was behind that door, but it was time to see her Dad. She had seen her Mum sick, and had plenty of mental images to put her Dad into. But Dana had said Daddy would be going home. "Please can we go in to see Daddy now?" Skinner had not been expecting that question, or maybe it was just how it was phrased... Mulder, Daddy... since when? Scully letting the child in to see Mulder had been enough to digest, but Daddy? And now he looked, the young child did have a resemblance to Mulder, the eyes and hair he thought. "How did I miss that before?" Another question, this one unlikely to be answered. "Sir, we won't be too long, if you wouldn't mind waiting a minute here?" Skinner nodded. It would give him some time to think. "Sarah, he will probably be asleep, so try not to wake him up. OK? He will be awake soon enough and you can talk to him then." Scully added as they slowly opened the door and entered. Sarah walked to his bedside, and couldn't see much. Dana picked her up, pulled a nearby chair over, and allowed her to stand on it. Sarah looked at her Dad's face, tubes, stitches and purple bits and had to remind herself, 'it is not as bad as it looks'. Silent tears began to fall again. Scully picked up Mulder's hand and placed it in Sarah's. As Sarah started to cry a little louder, Scully moved over to hug her, and took Sarah's hands inside her own. He gently squeezed their hands as they held his. Even asleep, Mulder was aware of their presence. Moving from Scully to lean down on the bed, Sarah cried softly into her father's hand, calling "Daddy" softly every so often. Scully left Sarah talking softly to Mulder and went to talk to the AD. "Who is Sarah?" Skinner inquired less curtly than he wanted to. He felt like he was being kept in the dark, deliberately, by Scully... or anyone. 'I am the bleeping AD. Would someone please fill in the gaps for me?!' he felt like yelling out, while externally he did his best to remain neutral. "Sarah Mulder, Sir, Mulder's daughter." Scully replied, looking Skinner in the eyes. "I was not aware that you didn't know about her." "No, Agent Scully, I did not know Agent Mulder has a daughter, let alone one that is obviously very attached to him.... And you." Scully stared, not sure whether or not to be bothered reading anything other than the obvious into that statement. "There is little doubt that Mulder is related to her though. There is a definite resemblance there." Skinner continued. "Sarah has lived with Mulder for nearly a year now. Her mother died last year. Mulder has taken care of her since. He only introduced her to me after he was granted permanent custody." Scully thought that about covered the basics. "She seems very attached to you, Scully." "We have become very fond of each other, Sir. I am also her legal guardian, should anything happen to Mulder. Fortunately, today I have not become a single parent of a six-year-old who has lost both parents and the rest of her family in the last year." "The rest of her family?" Skinner questioned. "Her mother's relatives live in Boston. When she came to DC, she had to leave them behind." "A lot of changes in her life. You sure letting her in to see him is a good idea?" "She has been through so much, and I am sure that Mulder will recover from all his injuries. It will be good for her to see the improvements he makes, same as it is for us. Especially after seeing the reverse process as her mother died from cancer. Besides, Mulder will want to see her as soon as he wakes up." "Well, since you have thought this through, I will be getting back to the office. Give my well wishes to Mulder when he wakes up." The files in the office might give me a chance to figure out how Mulder managed to have a daughter, house and look after her, all without my knowledge, he added to himself. I go over personnel files regularly. Do I really miss things THAT big? After a few moments he could answer his own question. Since only dependent children are required to be listed on the Bureau forms, Sarah would have only been added for a short time. Haven't had the need to read his file in that time. Well, you do now. Out of curiosity, reading Mulder's file became the number one task on his to do list for the evening. Ah, but don't forget the shopping. You do have to eat like the rest of the world. Scully watched Skinner leave and returned to Mulder and Sarah. Mulder must be near waking up, Scully realised when she saw the two. Sarah had managed to squeeze her small body next to Mulder's on the edge of the bed. Mulder's arm was wrapped tightly around her body. They were both asleep. Scully was strangely glad the AD hadn't seen them like that, but she wasn't sure why. Maybe it was a family moment. And she was glad she fitted in. Mulder was hoping to be released tomorrow... He had had more than enough of the hospital food over the last week... Finally being allowed to move, and then get out of bed was a huge relief, but he wanted to be home with Sarah... to put her to bed. Okay, so Mulder knew he wouldn't be allowed to do much for himself for a while. Despite his protests, for Skinner's benefit at least, he told himself, Scully had promised to move in with Sarah and him until he received an all clear on the mobility front. Scully spent so much time with him and Sarah, including sharing lodgings on occasions, that this would not be anything too new. But Scully helping with the cleaning - that would be new, and staying more than one night on his couch, without work all around them and his.. or her... floor, that would be something worth seeing, he grinned to himself. Mulder really appreciated Scully's help with Sarah and what she was willing to do for him after his discharge. Trying to figure out a way of showing his appreciation was something that weighed on his mind. Their relationship was changing... he was not so blind as to miss that. Just how much it had already changed was a bit of a mystery. How far would it go was the burning question he really wanted answered. Was Sarah the only change or were there new emotions on Scully's part for him too? Of course what it boiled down to was how far Mulder was willing to stick his head out to find the answers to that question. As he was, flat on his back in hospital, sticking his head out seemed like a dumb move. Sarah had been allowed to miss a few days of school while she kept her Dad company in the hospital. Scully had been right in wanting Sarah to see Mulder's whole recovery. Each day when she arrived in the morning, she would tell Mulder what parts of him looked better, and give a detailed description of many of the scrapes on his face he would rather not have known about. Tomorrow, Sarah would return to school, giving Scully time to get Mulder settled at home. Sarah had helped keep Mulder relaxed and occupied in the ward. Even Mulder knew she had a calming influence on him. The first few days, when Mulder was constantly in a drug-induced sleep, Scully must have recommended that Sarah take a book to read with her. When he had woken to see Sarah, he asked that she read her book to him. Mulder encouraged Sarah to read to him at her bedtime. Sarah seemed to get a thrill out of reading to her Dad. Good practise for her. She had been a proficient reader for a while now. He had only managed to stay awake for a few pages of the book, but each time he awoke, a few more were read. It was two days before Sarah had finished reading the book to Mulder. Only wanting a couple of hours sleep during the day by this time, Mulder asked Sarah to bring a book she would like him to read her. Despite being adamant she had no favourite, "I like lots of them, Daddy," Sarah promised to bring a book she really likes with her the next day. As usual, Scully left Sarah at the hospital the next day on her way to work. "Paperwork still has to be done, hospital stay or no, I am afraid" she had told Mulder after he had been moved to the regular ward. Sarah produced her book almost immediately on arrival. Even just the title had made Mulder want to laugh. He refrained knowing that a smile with all his stiches would be painful. "The Super-Roo of Mungalongaloo" by Osmar White. Not a book Mulder had heard of. Who would have he wondered? "So what make this book one you really like?" Mulder asked his daughter, perched carefully next to him on his bed. "It makes me laugh, and I like all the animals." Mulder realised that Sarah was very familiar with the book when the answer came back very quickly. No thought required. "OK, can I start reading now?" "Daddy, I want to read to you. I liked reading you from the other book." "Well, we can take turns? We can do one page each. Does that sound better?" "Sounds fair" the grin came back. "You start, Daddy." Sarah was noticeably pleased that her Dad was now able to read to her, rather than the other way around, but had nonetheless taken a thrill from reading to him in the preceding days. Sarah took the opportunity to crawl into the bed next to her Dad. She was always careful not to knock his legs so his back would get better, or bump his chest, because he had the operation near his chest. She always stayed on the side without the stitches on his upper body, but both father and daughter revelled in the physical contact. So Mulder began, "Chapter One, In which the Intrepid Explorer McGurk Prepares for his Expedition into the Dreaded Deadibone Desert." The pages slipped by, Mulder intrigued by the stupidity of it all, and enjoying the sound of Sarah's voice as well as the story on the pages she read to him. Mulder's lunch arrived just as the three and a half metre high Super-Roo was refusing to allow Dr McGurk and Cathie Khan the camel to drink from the only waterhole in the Dreaded Deadibone Desert. It was late that afternoon when the pair eventually finished the book. Hospital interruption had conspired against them most of the day, as well as several enjoyable conversations of on strange tangents induced by the strange setting of the book. Scully had returned from work just as Sarah had begun the final chapter. Taking a brief look at the picture accompanying the page, she had to laugh. The welcome sign of the ghost town Gulgrumbalong requesting "Plis slow down, you are entering Gulgrumbalong, Population 4, plus flies." That had been the end of that book, but a trend had been set. Each day Sarah had brought a book with her to read with her Dad. Mulder still couldn't work out who enjoyed reading to whom more. Skinner had just left after his daily visit. Mulder was not quite sure how to take the concern Skinner was starting to show for him. Sure, the AD drops in on agents in hospital, but daily? Not often. On Mulder's first day in the regular ward, Skinner had dropped by while Sarah was asleep next to him on the bed again. While she slept Mulder had rambled on about her in soft tones. Skinner knew he wouldn't discuss the beating in front of Sarah. The tone kept Sarah tranquil in her doze, and still told the AD some of what he wanted to know. And of course, Mulder was happy to ramble on about Sarah, especially as the pain killers had loosened his tongue a little. Mulder was surprised at how taken with Sarah his boss seemed to be. Was it possible Skinner saw parts of himself in Mulder, and now realised that he had missed out on a great part of life by not having children? Or was it concern that Mulder's parenting skills needed to be checked up on? Mulder doubted that. Skinner never made any negative comments about Sarah. Thinking back, it was probably surprise at the strange family unit that brought Skinner back. Granted, Skinner had not known about Sarah. Not that he hid her, he just didn't feel the need to advertise. Seeing his daughter for the first time, with Scully and obviously attached to her, would be enough to bring most of the FBI back for a second look, he decided, grinning to himself. Not too wide, he reminded himself just in time.... The stitches around his mouth still made smiling very uncomfortable. Anyway, visiting Mulder in hospital and in convalescence would be the only time the AD would have a valid excuse to observe them. Being the curious investigator, the AD couldn't resist. Case closed. Signed F. Mulder. At least that mental case was solved. He wasn't sure he had reached the correct conclusions, pain-killers can do strange things to your thinking process. But he had had fun working on the case. You have to think about something when you are flat on your back in a hospital. Even if they made him leave hospital in a wheelchair, he was glad to be going. He was also glad his apartment building had an elevator. Not something he had ever previously considered. Not that he couldn't walk if he had to, but Mulder was definitely aware that he needed to take things easy for a while longer. Just sitting up became uncomfortable after a short period time. >From his couch/bed Mulder watched as Scully moved around his kitchen. "Geez Scully, if I knew all I had to do was damage myself to get you to do my housework, I would have tried it sooner..." "Mulder you know how serious back injuries can end up..." "Yes, I do. But I really appreciate all the time and extra effort you have put in with Sarah over the last week. I really wouldn't have known who else to look after Sarah for such a long period of time." "You are most welcome. I really enjoy Sarah's company. But Mulder, you know I am happy to help you any time as well." Giving Mulder a sincere smile, Scully brought over two cups of coffee, and sat down on the next chair. "But staying here for the next week or more - that's way beyond the call of duty. I just want to say that you don't have to do this for me, other arrangements can be made. Just giving you one more chance to back out..." "Enough Mulder, I am more than willing stay and help. Besides, some of it will be fun. I get to watch you being a grouch in the mornings and I get to cook for two extra people who eat like bottomless pits. It won't be all bad," Scully smiled. "I am glad you are willing to stay, cause it will definitely be a pleasure having you, Scully." "Thanks Mulder. Now, as per normal when I sit down with a hot cup of coffee, I have to go. Time to get Sarah. See you soon." Scully briefly wondered if Mulder was trying to say more than he had. Certainly she could read a lot into their conversation that was not actually said. As she had said to Mulder not long prior, he had to wait till the time was right. Finally some progress. After finally admitting her feelings for Mulder to herself, she was more than happy to see Mulder was starting down the same path. She would enjoy his company while she stayed at his place to help him out immensely, and Sarah's, but it would also give them the opportunity to spend non work time together. On the job they both worked hard to separate personal feelings out. She hoped spending the time together would help them break though the work barriers. When Scully picked Sarah up after school and brought her home, Mulder didn't want to be in bed. Seeing another parent bedridden after a hospital stay was not something he wanted to put Sarah through. Sarah ran to him and then carefully gave him a welcome home hug. Scully brought snacks and drinks for them to the couch, and once the father and daughter had made a sufficient mess crumbing the couch, Scully ordered Mulder into a proper bed. Once he was settled, Mulder suggested they could read another book together. "Can we read Super-Roo again Daddy? Dana hasn't heard it yet, and she said in the car when you were still in hospital that it sounded fun." Sarah asked immediately. "If she wants to hear it, of course we can. But how about this time we swap, you go first, so we both get to read something new." Sarah nodded. As soon as Scully had settled in a chair near the bed, Sarah began "Chapter 1..." It took three afternoons to finish reading the story to Scully. Not that the book was that long, but after an hour Sarah became restless. And of course there was the phone call that summoned Scully back to work for an emergency autopsy only a few pages from the end on the second day. The night they finished reading Mulder made a new suggestion to Sarah "If you wanted to read to each other every night, I could get us a nice big book, a favourite of mine, and we could read it every day. Would you like that?" "What is the book called?" his daughter asked while nodding enthusiastically. "The Hobbit. It's about a strange little hobbit called Bilbo. Hobbits are little people type creatures, kind of like dwarves I guess. Does that sound fun?" Sarah nodded again. Mulder knew his daughter liked fantasy stories. After Mulder and Scully had put Sarah to sleep, they adjourned to the living room, and Mulder relaxed on his favourite couch. Scully was still not letting him sleep there, so he was making the most of the all opportunities he could find. "Scully, would you mind buying me a hard cover copy of 'The Hobbit' tomorrow please? I would like to give it to Sarah as a present. I have a copy somewhere, but I would like this to be something special." "Of course. If this goes well, this can be something you can continue to share and have fun with her for a long time to come." "Yeah, and if she likes 'The Hobbit' there is always all 3 books of 'Lord of the Rings' to read." "I will pick it up for you before I pick her up from school tomorrow, OK? And I will get you a special name plate to put in it too." "Thanks Scully. I really appreciate all your help. One thing, though, I know I am not yet up to looking after the house by myself, but I think Sarah and I are alright here alone overnight. You should go home and get some sleep in your own bed for a change. You have been here with Sarah since I went into hospital." "Mulder, you know I can sleep anywhere. Besides, I think I would spend most of the first few nights wondering if you were actually OK or just pretending to be. Once you are back to almost normal Mulder, then I will be happy to sleep in my own bed. Till then, I am the boss and the doctor, and I refuse to allow you to physically remove me from the premises," she concluded, smiling. "Whatever you say Scully, it is always a pleasure to have your company. However, I have a big day tomorrow. Taxi trip all by myself to the hospital to get my stiches out. Huge thrill I can assure you. So, I am off to get some rest, so I don't fall asleep in some waiting room." "Good idea. Knowing your luck, they would think you were unconscious and admit you again for some strange disease!" "Well thank you for that vote of confidence, Scully. I will see you in the morning." With that he was gone, and in bed shortly afterwards. "Wonderful what pain killers can do for bad sleeping patterns really," was his last thought before sleep overtook him. Two weeks later, Mulder was back at work with Scully. Light duties only, for at least two more weeks, but it was better than sitting at home. Mulder was a happy man. Scully was only now starting to make 'time to get back to my own bed soon' noises. It had occurred to him that Scully's reluctance to leave may have had nothing to do with his recovery. Did she really enjoy having Sarah around her that much that she didn't want to go back to her own apartment, or was it that she enjoyed the excuse of spending more time around me? Or both. He hoped it was both, since they definitely came as a package. Or maybe he was seeing more in Scully staying over than there was. He hoped not. Everything that got put on hold while Mulder had recovered was now being rescheduled. Mulder was replanning their trip to Boston. He had originally wanted to take Sarah up for Granny Page's birthday. Now, it was more likely to be a visit to Annie's grave. Not something to look forward to, but an annual event important to mark. His mom was planning to visit for a weekend soon as well. Life was now apparently back to normal. Or at least as normal as it seemed to get for Mulder. On considering, over the last year, things had tended less and less toward the madness that had previously reigned. Something to do with responsibility and family requirements, or just old age creeping up on him? Not a question he felt like considering. Yet. End Note: The medical stuff in here is mainly my imagination at work. If anything here is totally beyond swallowing or completely fanciful, feel free to tell me the facts and I will to my best to fix them.
