Summary: Daddy, what's a hero?

"Daddy, what's a hero?"

"Well, for one, they make a pretty decent lunch."

"Mulder..."

"In fact, I could go for one right now--"

"Da-ad!"

"I'm sorry. What were you asking me, son?"

"What's a *hero*?

"I take it you want the non-food definition of--"

"Mulder! Answer your son before I unlock my gun."

"You're very pretty when you're impatient Scully, did you know that?"

"Don't start with me."

"All right. There are all kinds of heroes, William. Mommies and daddies and kids just like you."

"Really?"

"Really. When bad things happen to good people, there are always heroes there to bail them out."

"Like you and mommy before I was born, right?"

"That's right. Isn't that right, Mom?"

"That's right, Dad."

"Heroes never fade away, William. Remember that. Everywhere you look, you'll find them."

"Okay, daddy. I think I know what hero means now."

"Anything else?"

"Well, I'm kinda hungry."

"You didn't eat your dinner, young man."

"Mommy made broccoli casserole."

"Enough said."

"I'll pretend I didn't hear that, you guys."

"Sorry, Scully. What do you suggest we do?"

"Well, I know of a good sandwich place just around the corner..."

"Did I ever tell you you're my hero, Scully?"

"What did I say about not starting with me?"

"Sandwiches it is. My treat."
