Title: Krycek and The Alien Summary -- How Krycek spent his time in the missile silo. Yeah, yeah. I know what you're thinking. The Warfarine Dealer writing a story about Krycek? Talk about an X-File. I just had the inspiration and I know that there have been millions of stories about Krycek in the silo, but I'm just taking a humourous spin on it. And for God's sake! Can we please start spelling his name right!? It's K-R-Y-C-E-K. Enjoy. Missile Silo 1013 He couldn't understand it. He wasn't all that bad. Why did everyone hate him so much? Okay, he did shoot Mulder's father, he'd give them that, but really. Mulder didn't even like him all that much. No he's stuck in the damn silo for... what was it now? Six months? Maybe longer. He had lost count at around two or three. He sighed and glanced over at the sealed metal door, wondering absent-mindedly if they were ever going to come back to get him. Could he ever be that lucky? He felt a cool wet liquid drift over his arm and a soft bubbling noise. "Oh, sorry," Krycek apologized. He thought for a moment. "Hit me." The black blob of an alien in front of him dealt him another oil-slicked card. A ten. Krycek rubbed his chin, which had now grown a substantial beard. The blob dealt itself a card. It was an ace. The dark-haired agent looked up at his companion. "What do you got?" Alex asked, motioning at its cards. The alien turned over his card. 21. "Damn it!" Krycek cursed. "How the hell do you do that? I think you stacked the deck." The blob suddenly raised itself in protest, oil flying everywhere. Krycek shielded himself; oil splattering over his face. "Okay! Okay!" he surrendered. "I'm sorry!" The alien calmed down slightly, but still bubbled and made a squealing noise. The agent seemed to understand it. "Oh, come on," he said. "Don't start that again. I told you I'd never driven a UFO before. You didn't seem to care then." A small noise came from the alien. "Oh, sure. Whatever you say. That was there before I got into the driver's seat." There was a silence in between the two. Krycek sighed. "So what do you want to do now?" A few bubbles. "I don't know," Alex said, unsure he wanted to commit himself. "You got kind of upset the last time." A few more bubbles. "Okay. Deal," he agreed. "Just remember, if I sue you for a hundred thou instead of moving you fifteen spaces, you gotta give me the money... And no more of this: 'That wasn't a good spin' crap. I'm not going for it... And I get the red car this time." A Week Later "Why do you even think he's still alive?" Scully followed Mulder extremely reluctant of winding through the concrete halls for the second time. She jogged a bit to fall in step with him. "Because Scully," Mulder told her. "Chances are--" "That what? The alien took him under its wing?" Mulder glared down at his partner. "That maybe he's managed to find sustinence." Scully had to laugh at that. "Here. In a deserted missile silo. Underground." She shook her head. "I knew I should've shot-to-kill," she muttered to herself. Mulder smiled. "But then where would you be now?" he asked. "Probably sitting in front of a blazing fire in the arms of a handsome European." "What about me?" The smile fled from Scully's face and she opened her eyes to look at him. "Well, you'd be dead of course," she replied and continued down the hall. "Ah, but if I was dead, think of all the things I could watch you do." Scully stopped short and Mulder smiled. "Come to think of it," Mulder told her. "That's not a bad idea. You have your gun, or do you want mine?" "You are such a cheater," Krycek stated to his companion. "I captured that knight fair and square." The alien bubbled his protest. "That is too a legal move." A few low bubbles. "Watch your mouth, or... whatever you've got." There was a sudden click coming from the door. "What the hell is that?" Krycek asked. Then there were a few sharp cracks. Krycek moved to the other side of the silo; away from the entrance. The door handle moved and the door slid open. "Krycek?" Mulder called. Alex frowned. Was that who he thought it was? No, it couldn't be. "Krycek?" This time, the voice was female. What the hell? Krycek asked himself. Why would they come all this way to rescue him? Regardless of his thoughts, he decided to answer. "Mulder?" came his reply. Then the two agents came into his view. Mulder started climbing over the ship. "Are you okay?" he asked. "What?" Krycek said. He couldn't believe he actually cared for his well being. "Are you okay?" Mulder repeated. There was a few minutes of silence. "Well? Are you?" Krycek nodded. "Yeah fine," he replied and glanced at Scully who was examining the alien. "You guys came all this way to get me?" Mulder looked back at his partner. "Yeah," he replied. "Why? Is that a problem?" "No, no," Alex told him, waving his hands. "I'm glad you did. I'm sick of being stuck here but... I don't understand why you'd come back after all I've done to you two. I mean, your father, her sister, her disappearence... I thought you'd kind of have a grudge against me." Mulder was silent. He turned around to Scully who had also spent the last few minutes thinking and was now seemingly conversing with her partner via their thoughts. "You know what?" he asked. He turned back to Krycek. "You're absolutely right." He chuckled. "Why should we rescue you?" He started back towards the door. "Come on Scully," he said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Let's get out of here so he can rot in peace." Krycek frowned. He was shocked. Not only at Mulder and Scully, but also at himself for blowing his chance at civilization. The steel door shut with a loud thud and locked with a damning click. Alex shrugged. "Ah well," he said, walking back to the alien. "Maybe they'll come back." He sat cross-legged in front of his friend. "Come on. It's your move..." The End "And they say to me stay out of trouble before you are in a hole in the ground." --The Northern Pikes -- "Hole in The Ground" Come on, you didn't really think he would get out did you? Yeah, right. Death to Ratboy!! >:-) |
