Though you probably don't realize it, The Nursery Files is a rather large project. When geocities announced that they were closing seven months ago, they left a lot of us in the lurch. It took a lot of time and effort to preserve the archive - probably within the neighborhood of a couple hundred hours. That's a huge amount of time that I would have rather spent doing other things (such as writing!) but I think a lot of people would be very unhappy if I'd just packed things in. Fortunately, that upheaval is mostly past now, though I probably have another five hours or so of clean up work to do post-move

The other reason I haven't (or seemed to have) written much new is that FelineFemme and I decided about a year ago that we had to make a concentrated effort to finally finish The Family G-Man - a lot of what we've been writing isn't posted yet, so it's easy to see how some might think I've been idle. So, when I've actually had time to do that, I've written my half (about 80,000 words, or almost the length of a typical paperback novel) of the final sixteen chapters of that story. I have the final chapter partly written on my computer now, and I hope to finish it off by Christmas. Finally!!!
