The Truth That We Both Know Challenge

If we know anything about the Smoking Man, it's that he's a Liary McLieFace. Given his history of manipulating them, why should Mulder and Scully believe a word that he says?

Your challenge is to write a post-series story that refutes the Smoking Man's claim that William is his son.

• Maybe you'll have the proof backed up with scientific evidence. Maybe you'll back it with Mulder's strong faith that William is his son, not his half-brother. The choice is yours.
• Include either William and/or Mulder and Scully's baby as characters in your story, but you don't have to include both
