Say, it's about time that The Nursery Files finally had an Easter-themed challenge, isn't it?

Your challenge, should you chose to accept it, is to write about an Easter Sunday and two egg hunts. You can have the two egg hunts in either order in your story but they will be:

a. A child or children celebrate Easter by hunting for Easter eggs.
The kids can be related to an X-Files character or complete strangers as it suits your story.

And

b. One or more adult X-Files characters finds a different sort of egg, one related to their current case, and this one is on the verge of hatching.
Whatever sort of life is hatching from the egg is up to you, as is whether or not the human(s) stick around for the entire birth.

If you would like to you can write a crossover with any sort of book/movie/comic you think would fit the challenge's plot. Some examples: We Bought a Zoo, Alien(s), Jurassic Park/World, Godzilla, March of the Penguins etc. etc.
