< 1. William Mulder William Mulder. I look just like Fox William Mulder - my dad. No need of other explanation. I took the same paths just like my father did. I've never seen him. Only in pictures. Mom told me he even held me in his arms but I can't remember. I was just a baby. Mom told me that he's missing. It has been 30 years now. He must be 70 if he's still alive. I majored in psychology in Oxford. Right now, assigned to the FBI. The day I turned 17, my mom told me about my dad - the things I didn't know. "William, your dad was just gone. Gone.." She said she showed me his pictures but never told me about his life because she was afraid if I'll follow his life paths. But here I am, just like my father. He struggled to find his sister, Samantha. I'm struggling to find my dad - Fox Mulder. Though it seems hopeless for now. Mom said she tried everything but she couldn't find him. Whenever I have time, I try to do my personal investigation. Mostly about the outer space, extra terrestrials, things related to those stuff. Mom says I'm just like my dad. It's because I'm interested in that part, but there's also another reason. I sometimes think he has been abducted by aliens just like Samantha. I've been researching about the abductees lately. Today, I'm going to meet Daniel Grant. He claims he has been abducted by aliens in 2001. < 2. Daniel Grant Daniel Grant. He had hazel eyes, grey hair. Tall and good looking. As a matter of fact, before I met him, I even thought he could possibly be my dad. The year of abduction and the year of disappearance of my dad matched. I looked at his picture - he looked like Fox Mulder. But I knew I was daydreaming - his name is Daniel Grant. And his birth date is 1971. He can't be my dad. Daniel was eyes-wide-open when he saw me. Yeah, I looked like Daniel. Couldn't deny it. It was like looking into my future. I think he felt the same way as well. < 3. Abduction Daniel told me about his abduction. He said he doesn't have much memory about the abduction. All he could remember is that when he woke up, he was in operation room surrounded by aliens. Then he was back on the earth. "Actually, I can remember nothing. Not even my name. I named myself after the doctor who took care of me. My birth date as well. I'd like to know about my past. But.. it's just...impossible. I don't know who I am - what is my real name, how old am I, what was my youth like.. none." < 4. Doubt Only one thing was in my mind - what if he's my real dad? "Mr. Grant. Do you have any photos you've taken after the abduction?" "One moment please." I looked into it for a moment. I took out the wallet. I took out the picture of my dad and mom. It was taken in 2001 before I was born. I placed Daniel Grant's picture on the Fox Mulder. Nearly the same. "Sir. Would you excuse me..um..." The tears ran down my face, all over. But I couldn't say that I'm his son because he wouldn't be able to remember anything. I feel like running straight to my mom and tell her things happened today. But I shouldn't. It'll make both mom and dad unhappy. He won't remember her as well. 5. Dad "Son, what's the problem?" "Something went into my eyes. That's all." "You can't cheat me, son. What's wrong?" "It's.. it's just that... you remind me of my dad. He's missing." "Oh I'm sorry about your dad. When did you last see him?" "In 2001. He was missing after I was born. I only have his pictures. That's how I know him." Countless nights I tossed and turned for my dad. It was too painful to see my mom sobbing in the middle of the night. "Mr. Grant, do you mind if I visit you whenever I have time? It's..it's just that.. you remind me of my...dad..." I smiled. He smiled back. "Sure. You remind me of my old days."
